CUSTOM ROOFSTEP SYSTEM FOR MULTI LEVEL ROOFTOP ACCESS IN A MUNICIPAL FACILITY

SOLUTION
We delivered a custom Roof Step fall protection system combined with Roof Guard Classic edge protection to provide safe, compliant multi-level rooftop access. This solution enables secure movement between multiple roof elevations while maintaining full fall protection at each level.
Our municipal client required a safe way to access the roof through a hatch, as well as additional access to both the level above and the level below the hatch. The existing rooftop configuration created accessibility challenges and increased fall risks for personnel working at height.
Our team engineered a custom two-tier Roof Step Ladder Series system using two standard 6-ft Roof Step kits. The offset stair configuration allows workers to safely transition between rooftop levels that were previously inaccessible. Pre-engineered industrial platforms and components provide safety compliance immediately upon installation, while additional guardrails ensure fall protection on both levels.

Each Roof Guard Classic Guardrail System is freestanding and counter-weighted, requiring no penetration of the existing roof. The nesting baseplate system ensures weight is distributed at engineered, approved points, eliminating the need for cutting, fastening, or roof re-sealing.
The completed system meets or exceeds all federal and provincial working at heights requirements, as well as ANSI and OSHA standards, delivering long-term safety and peace of mind for municipal operations.
