SOLUTION
We delivered a fully engineered rooftop fall protection system for a Toronto office building, combining RoofGuard Classic edge protection, RoofWalk walkways, and skylight guardrails. This system provided safe access for rooftop personnel while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory standards.
Recently, Liftsafe was contacted by a client at a Toronto office building who was facing challenges meeting rooftop safety and regulatory requirements. The facility required a compliant fall protection solution to meet TSSA and Ministry of Labour (MOL) standards.
We worked with the client to design and install a system that meets or exceeds Ministry of Labour (MOL), OHSA, ANSI, and OSHA requirements. The integrated solution addresses fall risks at roof edges, over skylights, and along routine walkways, creating a safe, long-term fall protection strategy.
Custom ballasted stairs and guardrails were engineered and supplied for safe access and fall protection, meeting safety standards. The modular, lightweight system protects the roof membrane and installs quickly without welding, saving time and costs.
Constructed from corrosion-resistant, lightweight aluminum tubing, the freestanding RoofGuard system utilizes counterweighted base plates, eliminating the need for roof penetration and preserving roof integrity. The low-profile, stackable base plates feature built-in carrying handles for ergonomic handling during installation.
The RoofGuard Classic 27 ft Kit meets or exceeds Canadian federal and provincial working at heights requirements, as well as ANSI and OSHA standards, delivering a durable, compliant, and cost-effective fall protection solution.
