All new Landing Gear Stand in use
The Liftsafe DF071592-03 Landing Gear Access Stand has been designed specifically to provide access to the inspection areas and grease points at the top of the landing gear. The base frame is designed to fit around aircraft tires and with a quick height adjustment can be used easily by one maintenance worker. The Landing Gear Access Stand is being used by Air Canada for performing general and detailed visual inspection and maintenance on many otherwise difficult-to-reach areas of the aircraft. The stand is adjustable from side to side on bearing rails for improved access and contains both brake and swivel locks on all castors. The ATACS bumper pads at the top of the stand as well as the Rubber D bumper pads on the landing gear side ensure the aircraft is protected during use and placement. Ensuring maintenance technicians’ safety was paramount with the design of this stand. The Landing Gear Access Stand contains anti-fatigue and anti-slip ladder rungs as well as secondary locks for height and lateral positioning. Additionally, the stand contains fall resistant anchorage on the upper ladder.
